ABOUT THE TEAM

Welcome to our page. May I first thank all at STARKS DIY their continued support in sponsoring our strips. You can call in at the depot at Foundry Farm Shiney Row or call 0191 3852419 for your building requirements.

As you will see from the gallery we have been playing competitive football into our 8th year. In that time we have won the South Tyneside Youth League twice and been cup finalists winning one and losing the other on the dreaded penalties.

After winning the STYL Premiership we moved leagues to join the Russell Foster Youth Leagues. We have since moving, finished league runners up in seasons 2006/7 and 2007/8, narrowly missing out on the titles by a few points. In the later season we made it through to the semi-final of the Ray Foster Cup, losing in extra-time.

Mick my coach and I believe that football should be there for the enjoyment of all and encourage our players to play the game right! Get the ball on the ground, pass and move. We also want the players to express themselves as we feel this is the only way they will develop their skills.

I have babbled enough now so why don't you have a look around and we hope you enjoy our site

Best Wishes Paul, Mick and the whole of Lambton Lions United :-)
